He was the original drummer for Trevor (Directed by Marc Bruni) at Writer's Theatre, again for its Off-Broadway run at Stage 42, and on its recently-released album and Disney+ film. He subs on- and off-Broadway in shows like The Heart of Rock and Roll and Little Shop of Horrors.

Jed was also the drummer and on the orchestration team for the World Premiere of HERO (by Aaron Thielen and Michael Mahler) at the Marriott Theatre and then again at Asolo Rep. He was also the drummer for the World Premiere of October Sky at the Marriott Theatre.
Jed has played in the pits of many more shows. Onstage as an actor/musician he helped build the musical world of Tug of War, a 12-hour supercut of all Shakespeare's histories told across two 6-hour plays at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre (directed and conceived by Barbara Gaines). He similarly helped build the onstage musical world of Mother Courage and Her Children at Arena Stage starring Kathleen Turner and directed by Molly Smith.
